COF Training and Development

The Colleges of the Fenway Training and Development Committee is proud to offer programs to meet your professional development needs. We hope that you will find the workshops timely and helpful!

Examples of past training and development sessions have included, Managing Time and Stress, Managing Up, Understanding Change in Higher Education, Retirement Planning, Effective Communication and Public Speaking. Programs are also implemented in conjunction with the Colleges of the Fenway, EAP provider, ALLOne Health.

2018-2019 Training and Development workshops will be posted in late August. Registration is required for all sessions. Completion of any 4 sessions during the Fall and Spring semesters will earn you a certificate for your personnel files. Leadership Management Program

The Colleges of the Fenway Leadership Management Program is a collaborative professional development program sponsored by the Colleges of the Fenway (COF) and MASCO. The program was initiated to recognize and cultivate excellence among staff and faculty throughout the COF. The sessions are customized and facilitated by highly regarded trainers. The program also provides each participant with the invaluable opportunity to meet and learn with colleagues across the COF. This year’s Leadership Management Series will offer a full curriculum. Participants in the series will attend 6 full-day mandatory sessions and conclude the program at a review and recognition luncheon.

Department Chair Training Program

The COF Department Chair Training Program is an academic leadership program sponsored by the Colleges of the Fenway (COF). The program was initiated by the Chief Academic Officers to recognize and cultivate excellence among high-performing leaders.  The sessions are customized and facilitated by highly regarded trainers and consultants.  The overall goal of the series is to prepare current or new Academic Department Chairs to meet the current and future needs of their institutions.

The program provides a multi-faceted, interactive learning experience that focuses on individual learning needs, while building a shared community of academic colleagues across the COF
