General Scholarships
Look for the Rainbow Scholarship offered through the Fund for Education Abroad. This scholarship is awarded to a deserving LGBTQ student who is participating in a high-quality, rigorous education abroad program.
This is offered in cooperation with the AIFS foundation. Diversity Abroad will offer $500 scholarships, five for the summer and five for the Spring and Fall.
Program Specific Scholarships
Look for the TEAN Diversity Scholarship. These $1,000-$5,000 scholarships will be granted based on the overall presentation and display of diversity. The purpose of this scholarship is to award those who have overcome extreme adversity due to gender, race, sexuality, religion, or other under-represented groups in study abroad.
Look for the ISA Diversity Scholarship, which aims to encourage students of a broader cultural make-up to participate in ISA programs, by offering funds to assist with the expenses of studying abroad.
IES Merit-Based Scholarships for Under
Represented Students
These scholarships of up to $3,000 will be awarded to students who have been traditionally under-represented on study abroad programs. This group includes, but is not limited to, students identifying as a certain race, sex, color, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc.
IES David Porter Diversity Scholarship
This award of up to $5,000 will be awarded to a student who identifies with group that has traditionally been under-represented on study abroad programs. This group includes, but is not limited to, students identifying as a certain race, sex, color, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc.
The Diversity Scholarship is offered for CEA students from diverse backgrounds and/or for students who have had a personal experience with diversity.
Spanish Studies Abroad Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is specifically designed for students from diverse backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in study abroad, including, but not limited to the areas of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, etc.
Look for the API/JCU Diversity Scholarship, which provides one full tuition award per session abroad (fall, spring, summer) to an outstanding minority student in order to encourage diversity at the John Cabot University campus in Rome, Italy.
DIS seeks to promote a diverse student body by providing need-based financial support to academically excellent students from populations traditionally underrepresented in study abroad. Such students may have diverse ethnic, racial, cultural, economic, sexual orientation and educational backgrounds.
